Campus finance system modernization — the old system was built years ago on an architecture that was hard to develop further. We migrated the entire system to a modern architecture (NestJS + PostgreSQL), while replicating the already-proven business logic — late-fee calculation, payment proof validation, and student billing — so the transition wouldn't disrupt ongoing operations.

Results

• Late-fee calculation centralized into one source of logic, removing the risk of mismatched calculations across modules
• Automatic scheduled billing reminders via WhatsApp & email, replacing one-by-one manual billing
• Self-service portal for students to check bills & payment history, reducing manual back-and-forth with finance staff
